Five steps to a table of live data
Building a data view means answering five questions, one per step of a wizard. Once you have answered them Zite keeps the table filled for you — there is nothing to refresh or rebuild when new data arrives.
Choose View Type — what does one row stand for? A submission, a site, a task…
Define Settings — what is the view called, and which form (if any) feeds it?
Select Data Fields — which fields become columns?
Organize Columns — in what order, and under which headings?
Apply Filters — which rows should the view keep?
You can move back and forth between steps with Back and Next until the view is saved, and reopen the same wizard later with ⋮ → Edit on the view.
The example throughout is Roof survey results: one row per site-survey submission, with the surveyor, the roof type and the usable roof area.
To start, open the project dashboard, select the DATA tab and then CREATE NEW at the top right.
