Contact Information

The Custom Information page is where you configure the fields (questions) related to your contacts.

Default Fields

By default, Zite suggests a series of fields that are commonly a part of contact information. You can toggle many of these on/off based on your need, determine whether they are required fields (meaning mandatory), or determine whether or not they should appear for all contact types (relevant).

A few of these fields have special functionality attached to the them that you might want to make note of:

  • Contact Type - Contact Type allows you to customize your contact list based on the type of contact. For example, you might have different contact information required for Site Focal Point and a Committee Member. If you create two types of contacts you can then use the Contact type to make questions appear or be skipped depending on the contact type.

  • Status - Allows you to set the status of a contact and retain information of former contacts in the event they are no longer active. You can also automate the status to change after a certain date or after the date in the "Status Valid Until" field.

  • Status Valid Until - This is a date field that can be used with the status field to automatically change the status of a contact. This can be useful if you know a contact will no longer be active after a certain date.

Additional Fields

If you need other fields added to your contacts, don't worry you can add any number of fields to your contact forms, including more complicated question types like cascading questions, dates, integers, and multiple selects!
