Creating & Deploying Forms

To create a new form or deploy a form in Zite, click on the Forms button in the top navigation bar. On this page, you can search, filter, and upload ODK/Kobo forms to Zite and share access for these forms to other users that have permission over Form Management.

In order to deploy a form to Zite:

  • First click the "Create New" button on the interface.

  • Give your form a name and description.

  • Build your form in the Kobo/ODK editor. For more information and guidance on this interface - visit this documentation.

  • Alternatively, you can upload an existing version but clicking the X in the top right-hand corner of the interface and using the Kobo back-end interface to upload your form and media files as an .xlsx. This portion of the platform runs the same way as Kobo.

  • Deploy your form to the platform when you have completed either uploading or building it in the interface. You can also test how your form appears through this interface.

  • Once deployed, you should see your form appear in the "My Forms" list on the Forms page.

While you have uploaded your form to the platform, you then need to deploy your form to the specific project or projects the form is related to. To do this, go to the Forms section of project settings and review related guidance for more information.
