Export to Excel

An export is a snapshot: the rows and columns of the view as they are right now, as an Excel workbook you can attach to an email, hand to a donor or open in a spreadsheet to pivot and chart. Export when you need a copy today; if you need the same table kept up to date every day, set up a sync instead (Sync a data view).

Open the view and select ⋮ → Export. A toast tells you The data view is being generated and will be notified shortly, and Zite builds the file in the background — a large view can take a minute. When it is ready you get a notification under the bell.

The export contains the rows the view currently shows, with the columns and headings you set up. Colleagues the view is shared with can export it too — it is the one action they have on the ⋮ menu.
