What an import gives you
Data does not always arrive through the app - a partner sends a spreadsheet, a season was recorded on paper, or you are moving from another system. Import Submissions turns rows of a spreadsheet into real cases on the right sites, with the same status and follow-up as a form filled in on the phone. New to cases? See What is a case?
Each row you upload becomes a submission of the form you choose, on the site you name. It gets a Case ID, takes the form's default status, appears in the site's CASES list, in the dashboards and in Data Views, and any automatic review task the form creates is created for it too. The person who ran the import is shown as Submitted By, and the submission date is the day of the import.
You need to be a Manager, and the form must be deployed to the project. Sites whose status does not receive data (for example Upcoming) reject rows - change the status first.
