Where notifications appear
A red dot on the bell at the top of the screen means there is something new. Tap the bell to open Notifications. Each entry shows what it is about - here CIM-F824F315 General Task - a one-line message (You have been assigned a task in Chamanculo Primary School of Community Input Mechanism.) and how long ago it arrived. Unread entries carry a red dot on their icon.
With Allow App Notification switched on (page 3), the same alerts also arrive as normal phone notifications, so you see them without opening Zite.
