What is a region?

Regions let you group your sites by geography — by province, district, municipality, or however your work is organized. They give you a consistent way to filter your dashboards and data views by area, and to give people access to just the places they are responsible for.

Regions are hierarchical: you can nest them up to three levels deep, such as a province that contains municipalities, each of which contains wards. Every region has an ID — often an official P-code — that links it to your other systems, and you can give a region a boundary so it appears on your map dashboards.
