What site types are for
Site types let you sort your sites into categories that match how you work — for example by size, by function, or by the kind of work happening there. On a solar project you might separate a Small (under 10 kW) installation from a Large (10 kW and above) one.
Grouping sites this way pays off across the platform: you can assign a form to just one type of site, give people access to only the types they work on, and filter your dashboards and data views by category. Setting up a few clear types early makes everything downstream easier to manage.
