Sub-Sites

Sub-sites are also sites but unlike a normal site, they are a part of another site - usually beneath or part of the larger site. Not all sites have sub-sites and not all projects require this feature. Sub-sites work similarly to the region feature - a user that has access over the overall site will have access to all of its sub-sites and data can be submitted at different levels of the site. There can be multiple levels of sub-site as needed with different site types and other associated information.

Some examples of sub-sites might include:

Site

Possible Sub-Sites

Displacement Camp

Dormitory

Office building

Creating Sub-Sites

Sub-sites and sites work exactly the same way with the same functionality and site profile information. In order to create a subsite through the interface, you must:

  • Navigate to the site dashboard of the site you want to create within.

  • Click the settings button in the top right.

  • Click the subsites tab and then in the upper right corner of the interface click "Create Sub-Site."

  • Fill out the sub-site information and click save.
