Four ways to finish a stage

Each stage in a Project Plan has a Method: the thing someone has to do at a site for that stage to count as complete. Pick the lightest method that still gives you the evidence you need.

Method

The stage is complete when…

Use it for

Form Submission

a chosen form has been submitted for the site

work you want to inspect in detail (a survey, a test report)

Checkbox Completion

someone ticks Mark this stage as complete

milestones that need a yes/no record (Handover)

Photo & Description Submission

a photo and a short description are uploaded

visible physical work (Mounting Structure)

Substage Completion

all of the stage's sub-stages are complete

a big stage you have split into parts (Installation)

You choose the method per stage in the builder's Settings panel (see Build stages and sub-stages). The next pages show what each method asks for when you set it up, and what field staff see at the site.
