Choosing a type
The Choose View Type window is the first step of CREATE NEW. Each card names the type and says what one row represents. The type is fixed once the view is created - to change it, build a new view.
A quick way to decide:
You want to read form answers → Case (one row per submission) or Site (answers rolled up per site).
You want a headline summary → Project.
You want to see who did what → User (totals per person) or User Activity (every action).
You are managing work, places or people → Task, Region, Contact or Beneficiary.
The type also decides which filters are offered and whether a form must be chosen: Case, Site, Project and User views are built on one or more forms; the other five are not.
